A day after the Met Gala, Kylie Jenner and her baby daddy Travis Scott were spotted leaving the Mercer Hotel where they were said to be having a date night. Yes, a date night. You may be thinking now that they have a child they are beyond date nights. You got it all wrong. Date nights are not meant for the singles only; married and engaged people also need date nights, this is why.
Busy lives un-busy relationships
Unlike in the earlier decades, life has become more difficult and people have had to triple their efforts in order to live comfortably. Work, family and social circles can be choking such that there is no time for a couple to just focus on one another. Date night enables both parties to be away from children, family and work; and set time to talk to one another and catch up.
To nurture the relationship
Just like any automotive such as a car, there is a need for fueling as frequent as possible and not waiting for the fuel to run out at the last minute. This is fatal. A relationship such as marriage needs refuelling often so that it does not completely shut down.
Be on the right track
The business of life can redirect one partner to a different pathway mostly in a destructive way; the couple begins to grow apart and they fall out of love. On frequent and consistent dates, the couple will talk about their thoughts and current projects and through this, the difference will pop up and can be adjusted in good time.
These are some of the whys’ but date night is for everyone. I personally think that date night is a vital part of a relationship and totally worth it. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are doing it, how about you? What are your thoughts on date nights?
