Lucy, I Love You… Says Bensoul

Bensoul, best known for his song ‘Masheesha‘ which he collaborated with H_Art The Band, is back. He has released his first single, ‘Lucy’. He says, “Lucy is very relatable to most young people—as it tells the story of a young man who is unsure about his position in the relationship but won’t stop loving.”

The song is a production of Sol Generation Records, a company found by Africa’s best live act, Sauti Sol. Cinematographer KG Brian directed ‘Lucy’s‘ music video and Willis Austin Chimano also took part in producing the jam.

Bensoul, whose music style is described as a fusion of The Carribean meets Afro Pop, talked about Sol Generation Records saying, “I feel like Sol Generation Records is where I need to be. It’s God’s grace that everything is working out because the label has my best musical interests planned out. They have a great plan for everything we intend to achieve. I feel like one of their brothers and so excited to see what more we will do. Together we are hoping to change the world.”

The artist is Sol Generation’s first signee and Bien of Sauti Sol said, “Bensoul is a phenomenal multi-talented artist and one of the best songwriters of our time. We look forward to helping grow his fan base as we take him to the next level.”
