Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, popularly known as MGK (remember his diss on Eminem?) stated in an interview with GQ that he grew up in Kenya. Well, not entirely but at one point in his life.
The rapper comes from a family of missionary parents who would travel from country to country spreading the Gospel. News huh! In a piece first published by The Sauce, MGK said, “I grew up in Egypt until I was five or six old…Egypt and Kenya. And then we moved to Germany for a bit, then I came to the United States and was apparently speaking Arabic to everybody.”
You should watch the interview here if you don’t believe it. I was in doubt at first as well. Could this mean he’s thinking of performing locally? MGK, if you’re reading this, this is the sign you’ve been waiting for.
The interview is 6-minutes long and he covers various topics; from his first job to his cameos in the films Birdbox (I think every Kenyan watched this Netflix horror and made memes out of it) and Big Time Adolescence.
Machine Gun Kelly has a new track dubbed Hotel Diablo. What do you think of it? Are you a fan?
