Every now and then, Nairobi city turns into a mini New York with it’s fashionable events and stylish personalities. Recently, the Michael Joseph Center at Safaricom House in Westlands played host to a New York-esque event, the Provoke Fashion Show debuted by Odhiambo Otieno.
I got the inside scoop on the event which started at around 6 pm. As expected, the attendees came in decked in Boho chic style and the men didn’t leave their coats and bow ties behind.
The first performance of the night was by Lento who had the audience in awe. Likizo the Band also had the audience hooked but the jazz performance of the night was a whole vision.
Christopher was the jazz maestro who made sure people fell in love with the music.
Provoke Fashion House was debuting its latest collection and the chief designer, Odhiambo Otieno, had a few words about how he came up with the concept and the new fashion line.
He seemed excited and his inspiration had translated very well into the fabrics of his clothes.
Faith, who was among the attendees said, “It was a lit night and we had a lot of fun. The fashion was also very on point.”
Top stylists and fashion bloggers were also present, adding the ‘h’ in chic.
