5 Unmissable Events This Weekend

1. Motown in Nairobi

Motown is an event that celebrates music from the Motown era, which prescribes to the 1960s distinctive sound style. The Nairobi event, marking its seventh year, will feature Noel Nderitu, June Gachui, and Nairobi Horns Project among some of the country’s finest vocalists set to grace the stage.

2. Ubantu & Afrosocial Presents: Lemon N Herb

South African DJ duo Skhumbuzo Radebe and Don Sithole will be showcasing their mix prowess to their Nairobi audience this weekend at Westlands, Nairobi. Their eccentric fusion of South African rhythms with world club appealing nuances promises a night of great musical entertainment.

3. Tusker Safari 7s

Rugby fans will be treated to a thrilling showdown this Mashujaa weekend for the annual Safari 7s tournament. Plenty of action and excitement is expected as sixteen teams from across the world have confirmed participation. A top-notch line up of performers at the tournament’s after-party will include Nyashinski, Ethic Entertainment, Khaligraph Jones and Boondocks Gang among others.

4. Mashujaa Festival

Mashujaa Festival will be going down this Sunday in celebration of human rights defenders in the country. The music and art concert will feature performances from Hart the Band, Sarabi, Shikkie, Ela and Mufasa the Poet.

5. Dala Vol. V

Dala takes you to an afternoon of acoustic Afro Indie-soul vibes featuring performances by Njerae, Terriane Iraki and Kaskazini. Head on there to enjoy some of Nairobi’s brightest and most sensational indie acts.
